Barunbio Inc. (CEO, Jinkee Hong) has announced its participation in CES 2025, scheduled from Tuesday, January 7 to Friday, January 10, 2025, in Las Vegas, USA.

Barunbio is a life-care solution company with the vision of “Harness Energy, Simplify Anti-Aging, Embrace Life.” Their core technology, WE-STIM™ (Wearable Electric Stimulation), activates cells and promotes health by utilizing micro-electric energy generated from body movements, without the need for batteries or external devices. Protected by over 30 patents and developed through more than a decade of research, WE-STIM™ is applied across various products, including smart energy wear, beauty, and medical devices. This technology offers a natural anti-aging alternative in daily life, as opposed to time-consuming solutions like cell therapy or new drug development.

The company’s flagship product is the premium smart energy wear brand, HYVLE, designed based on WE-STIM™ technology. HYVLE offers two lines—Performance and Recovery—providing consumers with tailored smart energy wear experiences.

Through participation in CES 2025, Barunbio aims to realize its vision of “Enhancing Human Health” and “Popularizing Anti-Aging,” showcasing innovative technology to the global market. At CES 2024, the company received an Innovation Award for leggings incorporating WE-STIM™ technology, recognizing the potential of wearable technology in healthcare and sportswear. This year, Barunbio has achieved the honor of winning the Innovation Award for the second consecutive year with the ‘WE-STIM.MED™ MuscleGuard.’

MED (Micro Electricity Diversification) refers to micro-electric technology adaptable to various forms, particularly expanded for use in medical and rehabilitation fields. WE-STIM.MED™ is an advancement of the original WE-STIM™ technology for medical and healthcare purposes, designed for individuals with sarcopenia or those requiring rehabilitation. This technology efficiently harvests micro-electricity from user movements and the surrounding environment, delivering it to muscle cells to aid activation and recovery.

Beyond enhancing athletic performance, Barunbio provides practical and sustainable solutions supporting healthy aging and rehabilitation. Through specific applications like knee braces for sarcopenia prevention and muscle recovery, the company demonstrates the medical value of its technology beyond simple wearable products.

This CES participation serves not only as an exhibition but also as an opportunity to promote Barunbio’s mission of “Popularizing Anti-Aging Life-Care Solutions” and to present a new paradigm combining healthcare with wearable technology. Barunbio plans to showcase the potential of WE-STIM.MED™ technology across various industries, seeking strategic partnerships with more companies to make its technology more accessible to consumers worldwide.

A company representative stated, “Our WE-STIM.MED™ MuscleGuard is an innovative wearable healthcare product developed for the prevention and rehabilitation of sarcopenia. It applies unique technology that utilizes micro-electric energy generated from daily movements and the surrounding environment to activate muscle cells, reduce fatigue, and promote recovery.” They added, “MuscleGuard not only protects muscles but also helps enhance muscle performance and reduce fatigue.”

User convenience is also a notable advantage. MuscleGuard operates effectively without batteries or external devices, simply by wearing it. This design eliminates the inconveniences of charging and washing associated with existing wearable devices. The fiber-based conductive technology allows users to naturally experience muscle care effects during daily activities or exercise.

Additionally, the design without batteries or wires reduces electronic waste and efficiently utilizes energy, making it an eco-friendly product. It maintains functionality after over 100,000 repetitive deformations and more than 30 washes, highlighting its durability and economic value.

Barunbio emphasizes that MuscleGuard is a clinically validated product aimed at improving the daily lives of sarcopenia patients and the elderly. The representative noted, “MuscleGuard has shown a 6.4% reduction in fatigue occurring after exercise, with an average 11% decrease in recovery time, aiding in exercise and rehabilitation. It also increases energy in muscle cells, resulting in a 30.2% increase in thigh strength and an 11.97% increase in calf strength.” These data demonstrate that MuscleGuard is a wearable solution capable of actually improving muscle performance beyond mere protection.

They added, “MuscleGuard offers comfortable wear without discomfort even during prolonged use, thanks to ergonomic design and high-quality materials. The adjustable straps after wearing make it accessible for all age groups.”

Building upon the WE-STIM.MED™ MuscleGuard, Barunbio is introducing a range of smart energy wear products that blur the lines between healthcare and sportswear. Through the HYVLE brand, the company expands existing performance and recovery wearable products to provide comprehensive solutions addressing various healthcare needs, including sarcopenia, aging, and chronic diseases. With CES 2025 participation, Barunbio aims to strengthen collaborations with global distribution partners and channels, targeting product market expansion and popularization.

Looking ahead, Barunbio plans to introduce high-performance wearable products supporting overall muscle recovery and fatigue reduction, following the existing smart energy wear lineup (performance, cushioning, lightning non-slip socks, etc.) incorporating WE-STIM™ technology. The company also intends to launch functional products tailored to various customer needs, such as medical sleeves, insoles, and wrist and knee protectors, focusing on sarcopenia prevention and rehabilitation in the aging era.

The company is accelerating its entry into North American and European markets. Barunbio is expanding its distribution network, focusing on major markets in North America and Europe, and implementing localized distribution strategies through collaborations with global sportswear and healthcare brands. Notably, through CES participation, the company has identified potential collaborations with numerous global buyers and aims to enter major U.S. sports and healthcare chain stores.

A representative stated, “Beyond the sportswear, beauty, and medical device sectors, we plan to develop an AI-based anti-aging monitoring app to provide personalized health management solutions. Through this, we will continue to contribute to enhancing people’s quality of life and creating a healthy and vibrant future.”
